We apologize that you were charged inadvertently. We do not collect payment information, and do not have access to your card information. All of that is handled by Substack. No one would have been able to charge your credit card unless you provided the information to Substack. I have contacted Substack customer service and requested that they refund the charge. They have informed me that your refund will be processed and have also provided this information:

"When the refund is processed, it will appear as a reversal rather than a separate credit transaction, which means the original charge authorization will be dropped as if the transaction never occurred. The reversal should appear on the customer's statement within 5-10 business days."

If for some reason you don't see the charge disappear from your statement within that time frame, please contact https://substack.com/support.
