One of the biggest problems is that the police no longer know the people in their area. If they did, they would know the kid had autism. They would also know who belongs in the area and who doesn't and be much better at catching criminals. The way police have been morphed into paramilitary units was no accident and they are no longer serving the people. I would encourage everyone to review the case of Daniel Shaver of Granbury, TX who was fatally shot by police officer Philip Brailsford in the hallway of a La Quinta Inn in Mesa, Arizona. The kid was nearly falling down drunk and being ordered to do ballet that I'm not sure I could do sober. They shot him because his gym shorts were falling down and he made the mistake of trying to pull them up. It was plainly obvious he didn't have a gun and even if he did, they had plenty of time to react before he could have pulled it out and shot at them. This just has to stop.
Amen I Thank God everyday that I feel like we dodged a couple bullets with our 18&20 yo sons but refused hpv twice a year for 8 years. My prayers go out to you and your family!
It's already known what causes autism. No need to wait for government propaganda. You should know by now you can't trust anything the government tells you.
Again, we are seeing this after the fact but when whoever the person was who called 911, were they in communication with the dispatcher about the situation and this child's issues?
my ASD daughter is 23 an' (pahrdon mah vernacular...) I kin promise full out this is every mama's worst nightmare.... one that'll never end! Even verbal kids that flap or act "funny" are thought ta be on drugs or a "danger" when they're just in their own heads... Happened to us jus' last week at the library, my girl takin' to herself a mite too loudly, got folks 'round 'er "skeered"--one told my hubby my girl needed "an exorcism" as it was "devils" talkin' thru her an' the librarian nearly called adult protective services assumin' she was "crazy on drugs" ...some "first responders" understand... many do not... we've had MANY close calls over the years an' that's with a girl. I do IMAGINE with a boy, even "wurse." Problem too is that there are no universal "signs" fer autism... our kids are as varied in behaviors as flowers in a community garden...
A Boise PD officer pointed his gun at my husband. That is a whole story that most people assume that there's more to the story. What I do know, is that they NEED MORE TRAINING!!
A friend of mine was man-handled at the capitol during the special session. She was grabbed by the back of her neck - you can find the video of it. ISP were like storm troopers. Little Brad's minions.
Am sad to hear again of this reoccuring error, makes one not wish to interact with LE having so many rampant errors like this and the crooked Fed Agency Depts. actions;
This was clear an abuse and shows incompetence. Period.

Oh I was at the park in Meridian on April 21, 2020.
A bunch of us homeschool moms took our children to the park. Many of us were at the playground. Officer Fiscus sure was a quick action jerk.
I was so glad when Raul got into the AGs office!
Thank you
